Get involved in an action campaign
Want to take action? Get involved in an existing working group, event, or community project, or suggest a new campaign idea.
Become part of the coordinating collective
We are often looking for folks to be part of the coordinating collective.
Help with general volunteer work
Volunteers help keep the VIPIRG office and resource library running smoothly, help with events, work on the newsletter, and assist with outreach to students and community members. Possible tasks include:
- helping keep the resource library organized and directing people to the resources they’re looking for
- helping promote VIPIRG events and campaigns (e.g., designing posters/flyers, putting posters up around campus and in the broader community)
- maintaining the VIPIRG bulletin board
- helping organize, run, and set up/take down VIPIRG events
- setting up and staffing a VIPIRG table at campus and community events
- helping write, edit, and lay out the VIPIRG newsletter
- creating public education materials
- helping keep the office clean and tidy
